Hawaii Shakespeare Festival Presents Comedia Rep

Commedia Rep
scenarios from Shakespeare
directed by Tony Pisculli

July 10 - July 19, 2014

Two free-wheeling adaptations of some of Shakespeare's greatest plays, improvised in the style of commedia dell'arte with archetypal characters, leather masks and plenty of physical humor. Running in rep on alternate nights. No script! No blocking! No net!

Temper, Temper, Tempest, a riff on Shakespeare's final play, features a hack magician with a chip on his shoulder (who may have a touch of real magic in him), his beautiful daughter and a storm of epic proportions.

Friday July 10, 7:30 pm
Sunday July 12, 3:30 pm
Thursday July 16, 7:30 pm

Dromio and Juliet, a mash-up of Comedy of Errors with Romeo and Juliet, features forbidden love and two households both alike in every way--welcome to the clone wars!
