Hawaii Shakespeare Festival 15th Season Auditions

The Hawaii Shakespeare Festival will hold four days of open auditions for its fifteenth season. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, April 6 from 3pm to 6pm at the Leeward Community College Lab Theatre; on Thursday, April 7 from 6pm to 9pm at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Kennedy Theatre Studio S (substage); on Sunday, April 10 from 5pm to 8pm at Windward Community College in Hale Palanakila Room 224; and on Saturday, April 16 from 2pm to 5pm at The ARTS at Marks Garage.

The fifteenth season features Twelfth Night, directed by Jason Kanda; The Witch of Edmonton, directed by Taurie Kinoshita; and A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Tony Pisculli. Performance dates run from July 8 to August 21 at The ARTS at Marks Garage.

Auditioners don't need to prepare anything, but should come ready to move. Auditions will consist of cold readings and some movement and improvisation work.
There are many roles for men and women of all ages. Note that A Midsummer Night's Dream will be an all-female production in invented language, and the role of the Devil Dog in The Witch of Edmonton is precast. No other roles are precast.
