Hawaii Young Actors Ensemble
The Hawaii Young Actors Ensemble, now in its 10th year, is dedicated to offering intensive classical theatre training in a positive, non-competitive environment. HYAE-trained alumni have gone on to study theatre in college and to become professional actors, stage managers, fight choreographers, and filmmakers. They have gone on to play leading roles in the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival, as well as in other local theatre productions, lauded not just for their talent and training, but for their professionalism. Several have since started their own theatre companies in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
The students meet twice a week with Eden Lee Murray, a professional actor, director, and artist/educator. In addition, they are offered Master Classes from leading instructors in the theatre community.
